This is the subwoofer that you pair with a soundbar. The dimensions of this subwoofer are quite small for the kick it has. Do not be tempted to compare this little " gadget " to some other behemoth. This dude is made for the slim TV + soundbar , and the wife acceptance factor (no more nagging because of the big bulky loudspeakers that interfere with the feng-shui). Some people found them to be a little boom-ish . Maybe they are a little , but in the end they are intended for the smaller rooms so that you don't need to crank them up am make the little driver spit his guts in atempt to keep with you. They need to have some head-room , so that they feel comfortable to play the movies and music you like.
The bottom line is this ---- if you cherish the space you live in (aka. - the wife will not kill you for having yet another chunky loudspeaker) you will buy them and they will satisfy the need for that little extra bass. These are not for the people who search higher end of loudspeakers ( snoby basterds ...LOL ) .
